The Stories of Us

We often treat history like a view from thirty thousand feet—all shifting borders, grand alliances, and massive troop movements. But history’s truest heart isn’t found in a ledger; it’s found in the individual.

Ordinary people are the only ones who actually live through history; everyone else just writes about it. By excavating personal letters, diaries, and memoirs, I aim to move past the ‘what’ of the past and rediscover the ‘who.’ Because when we tell an individual’s story, we aren’t just studying heritage—we’re honoring a life.

Their letters weren’t written for history books; they were written for family, for love, and for the simple hope of being remembered. Telling the stories ensures that they are never lost to time. History’s truest heart still beats in these intimate narratives. It is our shared heritage, written one life at a time.

I’m on a mission to bring these forgotten stories to light and show how much they still matter today. If your group is looking for a fresh, deeply human perspective on our shared past, I’d love to share these narratives with you.
